Spring Lake Mastiffs
About Us
We, at Spring Lake Mastiffs, are a family of animal lovers.
I fell in love with the English Mastiff breed when I was very
young, working at a vet office. After seeing this
magnificent breed I knew that I had to have one. We got
our first mastiff in 2000. I am currently in school to
become a LVT (licensed veterinary technician). I have
also volunteered for the Michigan Human Society and
have raised leader dogs for the blind. I currently work at
a 40 horse boarding farm, and I love my job. I have been
in the horse world for most of my life. I live on 14 acres in
Holly, Michigan with my 2 sons, husband, and my mom.
We live on a private lake and also have a pond where the
dogs LOVE to swim. Yes I said swim, mastiffs love the
water!
My dogs are very important to me and raising the
puppies, although is hard, it is the most fun. I feel that
along with the health of the puppies the socializing of
them is VERY important. I feel that it is my responsability
to get them ready for there new home and get them use
to everything that I can before they go. My sons are also
a big part of the socializing. I make sure that the parents
are sound, healthy, and compatible in pedigrees before
breeding them. All of my dogs are kept in my home and
puppies are born and raised inside also.
We breed for health, size, and most important;
temperament. Great joy comes with our socializing the
puppies. The most important thing is that people get a
great pet.
I hope everyone getting a puppy from me experiences the
joy of having one (or more) of these gentle giants.
